Kids Mode
It comes on by itself when the first-run age question gets an under-13 answer, and a parent can switch it on for any player. Purchases need a grown-up, the leaderboard and player names are hidden, and ads are held to age-appropriate content and never targeted. Only a grown-up with the parent PIN can switch it off.
Nothing you buy wins the game
Block Bolt is free to play, with ads. Remove Ads is $4.99 once and never renews. Bolt Club is an optional membership, $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly plan. It is ad-free too, and adds a 1,500-coin chest every month and the seasonal themes all year. Coin packs are optional too: coins only buy cosmetics, and you earn them by playing anyway.
No purchase touches the board, the pieces or the difficulty, so the leaderboard cannot be bought.
